Creek County Speedway Improvements On Track As 2025 Season Comes Into View
SAPULPA, Okla. (February 27, 2025) Working nearly non-stop since the close of the 2024 season, Ward Worthy Promotions has made massive improvements to Creek County Speedway in preparation for their inaugural season in charge of the quarter-mile oval.
Asked about the improvements so far, general manager Matt Ward explained, “It’s been hectic, but we’re nearly there on a lot of it. The biggest things are the catchfence is just about wrapped up, the grandstands have handrails now, and we’re getting ready to have new lights in turns one and two like my uncle [Steve Hahn] had done in three and four.”
Other improvements/changes to the facility set to be done or near completion before opening for the 2025 season:
•Replaced/moved the building to purchase Pit Passes to get the line out of the road.
•Moving transponder and check-in to the Pit Concession Stand.
•Replacing rotted and broken guardrails at the track entrance.
•Addressing/fixing plumbing issues in the grandstand and pit area bathrooms.
•Extending the sound system in the pits.
•Fixing and clearing drains around the track and pits.
•Clearing trees and debris along the back side of the track.
•Redoing the sound system in the grandstands.
•Clearly marking handicap parking spaces.
•Setting and building a new beer concession.
•Revamping shirt/souvenir sales area.
•Evaluating concessions and offerings.
Special thanks to the men and women who have taken time out of their schedule to be part of the ongoing improvements, and thanks to the companies who have helped so far.
