Chappell Claims Victory Creek County Speedway

OCR Staff | Bristow, OK. (March 17, 2024) Thirty-one Ameriflex Hose & Accessories OCRS Sprint Cars made the trip to Creek County Speedway for round three of the 2024 points season. After a seventh-to-second run in heat race four, Zach Chappell would claim the night's high points honors and with an invert of zero would start the Ameriflex Hose & Accessories A feature from the pole. It wouldn’t be an easy night for Chappell, however, as outside pole sitter Danny Smith would give the 50z a run for his money throughout the 30-lap main event. Chappell would eventually take over the race lead for good on lap 23, picking up his first win of 2024 with the series. Eighth-place starter Andrew Deal would finish second with Danny Smith, Alex Sewell, and Sheldon Barksdale rounding out the top five. The 30-lap main event would see three drivers advancing seven positions, as Alex Sewell, Kyle Jones, and Lane Goodman all made moves through the field with the tiebreaker going to Alex Sewell with a fourth-place finish. Sean McClelland would win the event's B feature while Emilio Hoover, Noah Harris, Sheldon Barksdale, and Elizabeth Phillips would capture heat race wins.

Next Up for the AmeriFlex Hose & Accessories OCRS Sprint Cars: Wild Card Event 1: Creek County Speedway Thursday, March 28. This will pay the standard OCRS Purse and is a Non-Points Race.
