Carroll snares USAC WSO finale at Creek County; Wilson repeats championship
By USAC Media (Sapulpa, OK) -- Craig Carroll won the finale while Brett Wilson wrapped up his second consecutive USAC Wingless Sprints Oklahoma driver championship Saturday night at Creek County Speedway.
Carroll (Collinsville, Okla.) drove to the front of the pack at the midway point of the 30-lap feature after Jeffrey Newell (Thunder Bay, Ontario) paced the opening 15 laps. Carroll carried on to his first WSO victory of the season over Wilson (Coweta, Okla.), Newell, Ty Hulsey (Owasso, Okla.) and Danny Smith (Sand Springs, Okla.).

With his 2nd place result, Wilson collected the series title by a 118-point margin over Johnny Kent (Kiefer, Okla.).
