HEAT ADVISORY ISSUED FOR SATURDAY
Tulsa, OKLA (June 17, 2017) - With summer upon us and the National Weather Service issuing a Heat Advisory for this afternoon, Creek County Speedway would like to remind everyone to take their precautions when they are out in the extreme heat.
We would like to remind everyone to stay hydrated by drinking water and taking frequent breaks during the hottest times of the day. We urge everyone to take a few minutes and read up on difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke and be able to recognize the symptoms. Early detection is the key to prevention.
We want everyone to stay safe. If you are out at Creek County Speedway and start to feel the effects of heat exhaustion or heat stroke, please let a track official know so we can help. As a reminder, we do have an ambulance, as well as staff trained in medical response and first aid on site for immediate health emergencies should the need arise.
