SAPULPA, Okla. (April 11, 2016) With a weekend cut short by rain, Blake Hahn still came out with renewed drive as the Lucas Oil No. 52 picked up a podium finish at the Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. on Friday night with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products.

“We drew a 68 for our Heat so we started at the tail, but we were great on the start and got to third to put us in the redraw. The track really widened out and the top was the best way around in the feature and we just railed it,” said Hahn. “There at the end, I thought we had a shot at the win with the late race cautions. I got to racing with Bryan Clauson for second and I thought I had him passed but he’s a very smart driver and was able to re-slide me so that allowed Seth to get away from both of us but taking third to Bergman and Clauson at my home track isn’t a bad way to end the day.”

Moving to the Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas on Saturday, rains ultimately cut short the weekend.

“I was looking forward to Greenville. We got there early, got the car serviced, and it really looked like it was going to miss us but I have to give a nod to the owners for sticking it out and trying to get the show in. It’s great to know there are still promoters that want to race as much as we do.”

With the original schedule showing Red River Speedway on the lineup this Saturday, the track’s closure has adjusted the team’s schedule east to Knoxville Raceway for their 2016 season opener on Saturday, April 16 followed by Sunday, April 17 at Sedalia’s State Fair Speedway with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs.
