ASCS Sooner Region Returns to Creek County Speedway
TULSA, Okla. (May 6, 2014) - The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region returns to the Tulsa area this Friday night with events at the Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. on May 9.
Dustin Morgan leads the series into this Friday's return to the quarter-mile oval with four podium finishes in the series first four events. Mike Goodman trails by 51 markers with Alex Sewell third.
Sean McClelland missed the season opener at the West Siloam Speedway, but has made up ground quickly with a win at the Springfield Raceway on April 19. McClelland is coming off a runner up finish at the Lawton Speedway this past Saturday night. Kyle Chady currently rounds out the top five in driver standings.
Friday, May 9 at the Creek County Speedway opens at 5:00 P.M. with racing getting underway at 8:00 P.M. (CT). The night's program also includes the N.O.W. 600 Micros and Wingless Oklahoma Warrior Sprint Cars.
