Bryan Hulbert - SAPULPA, Okla. (October 20, 2018) Wrapping up the regular season at Creek County Speedway this past Saturday night with a full Pit Area of 92 cars across the ranks of the Fast Five Weekly Series, Championship glory was earned by Travis Ashwood (Champ Sprint), Chad Davis (Modifieds), Paul York (Dwarf), Austin McSpeeritt (Factory Stocks), and Leroy Burger (Mini Stocks).
While hard work paid off for the five division champions, the battles Saturday night ended with Alex DeCamp topping Champ Sprint action for the second time in 2018 as Austin McSperitt made it an unprecedented 14 wins on the year in Factory Stocks.
The first of three first time winners on the season, Arkansas shoe Trevor Latham made a statement with victory over a stout field of Modifieds in his only 2018 showing at Creek County Speedway. Coming from El Reno, Okla., Blake Dewberry wheeled to victory in Dwarf/Mod600 competition. Marking another win for Arkansas, Mini Stock glory went to Chris Tuck.
The next event at Creek County Speedway is the John Christner Trucking Fall Fling featuring the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by Sawblade.com as well as POWRi West Midgets on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27. The two night affair is the season finale for the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series, and will be filmed for broadcast on the MAVTV Motorsports Network.
Both nights get underway at 7:00 P.M. (CT).
Admission on Friday, October 26 is $20 for adults. Youth 11-14 get in for $6 and kids 10 and under get into the grandstands for free. Saturday, October 27 is $25 for adults with all discounts still in place.
