72 cars filled the pits Friday night for another action packed points program! A somewhat cooler evening was welcomed after the last two weeks of searing temperatures! We will be back racing this Friday night, 8/4/17 for another exciting night of points racing. We look forward to seeing everyone then!

A Class
Blake Battles jumped to the early lead and led all 20 laps to capture his 1st A Feature of the year! Point leader Hank Davis gave chase but could not close the gap until the closing laps of the race as Battles approached slower traffic. Jason McDougal followed Davis in 3rd, with Jake Nail an impressive 4th in his A Class debut at the track. Restricted driver Daison Pursley, also getting some A Class laps was 5th. Davis and McDougal were heat winners.

Jr Sprint
Jase Mosely grabbed the lead from Parker Scheulen on lap 5 and led the remaining 10 laps to win his 1st A Feature of the year! Point leader Joshua Gentry passed Scheulen for 2nd on lap 10 and gave chase to Mosely but had to settle for the runnerup spot at the checkered. Hayden Mabe worked his way to 3rd with Ryan Timms 4th and Kaley Mahaffey rounding out the top 5. Scheulen and Timms won heats.

Restricted
Grady Mercer led all 20 laps to claim his 4th A Feature of the year! After some early season woes, Mercer has really came on the last several weeks as the driver to beat! Gage Laney gave chase until car problems sidelined him on lap 13. Daison Pursley followed close to Mercer for the rest of the way for 2nd. Not far behind in 3rd was Kale Drake, Baron Silva 4th, and Caleb Pence 5th. With Laney's misfortune and other points contender Rees Day Moran falling out of the race after a lap one wreck involving several cars, Spencer Mason retook the points lead with his 9th place finish. A very strong field of 21 cars were on hand to do battle in this very competitive class of young drivers! Mercer also won a heat while Drake and Pence won heats as well.

Outlaw
Jason McDougal took advantage of his front row starting spot to lead all 20 laps to capture his 1st A Feature of the season! He withstood a late race charge from points leader Hank Davis. Brock Berreth was a strong 3rd. Dalton Brown came from the 6th row to claim 4th. Brittany Webster was 5th at the checkered, but failing to go to the scales moved Shane Hacker to the 5th spot officially. McDougal and Davis also won heats.

Sportsman
Todd Uber jumped to the lead from the pole position and led the entire way to claim his 1st A Feature of the season! Points leader Kayla Ward gave chase until Ryan Cody took 2nd from her on lap 15. Cody slowed off the 4th turn on the final lap allowing Ward back around to claim 2nd. Cody was 3rd with Troy Minton and Larry Martinez rounding out the top 5. Uber and Cody won heats.

Non Wing
Jason McDougal led every lap to win his 2nd A Feature of the night! Points leader Hank Davis chased McDougal the entire race but had to settle for a close 2nd, his 3rd second place finish of the program! Greg Emeterio was a close 3rd with Jesse Frazier 4th and Brendon Wisely 5th. McDougal also won the heat.
