SCOTT WINS 6TH, DECAMP MAKES IT TWO, KNEBEL COLLECTS 3RD, DEAN AND MCCLELLAND SCORE FIRST OF 2017

TULSA, Okla. (June 18, 2017) - Robert Scott wins his 6th race of the season, Alex DeCamp scores 2nd win of the season, Wesley Knebel wins for the third time, while Ho Dean and Brian McClelland win first races of the 2017 season.

Robert Scott scored his 6th win for the season in the Factory Stock Division, completing the pass on 2nd place finisher Bobby Wolfe during the closing laps of the 20 lap feature event. Scott and Wolfe started trading the lead at the half way point, and continued to trade the lead until lap 15, when Scott was able to pull away from Wolfe to win the race. Justin Green was also in the mix, trading places with fourth place finisher Tommy Romine for nearly every lap past the cross flags. Green was able to complete the pass on Romine on lap 17, but Romine was unable to re-challenge Green for the 3rd spot. Green took the checkered flag in third, while Romine finished fourth. Jimmy Owens finished fifth after a brief exchange with Romine.

Alex DeCamp returned to Creek County Speedway on Saturday night after taking home the win during the Non-Wing race on Thursday to top the Champ Sprint 25 lap feature event. It was a close race all the way to the checkered flag, when DeCamp took the lead from Jackie York, who had taken the lead on lap 12. York had his sights set on the checkered flag until DeCamp completed the pass on York to take the lead on lap 23. Zach Alley was short behind DeCamp, completing the pass on York on lap 24 to take 2nd. Alley was unable to catch DeCamp and finished the race in 2nd, while York settled for a strong third place finish. Last week's Champ Sprint feature winner Tim Kent fought his way up to a fourth place finish from his 10th place starting spot, while Brian McClelland scored a top five finish, finishing fifth.

Ho Dean scored his first Modified feature event win of the 2017 season. Dean fought his way from a fourth place starting position and was able to get past early race leader Mike Duvall. Duvall set out to an early lead and led the first 16 laps of the 20 lap feature to be challenged and overtaken by Dean on lap 17. Dean cruised his way into victory lane, while Duvall took the checkered flag in 2nd place. Chad Davis had a rough night, being involved in an opening lap crash that collected four of the 13 drivers that started the race. Davis raced his way back into the top five on lap eight making passes on Ryan Lacoe and Brandon Dean to settle in third after not being able to catch Ho Dean and Duvall. Ryan Lacoe finished in fourth after starting in 12th. Lacoe made his way into the top five early on after the opening lap crash. Lacoe was in 2nd place until Ho Dean challenged and completed the pass for 2nd on lap 13. Davis challenged and completed the pass on Lacoe on lap 16 Lacoe finished the race in fourth. Brandon Dean finished in fifth place after making it as high as third, but falling back to fifth after being passed by Ho Dean, Davis and Lacoe.

Brian McClelland scored his very first Dwarf Car feature event after scoring a fifth place finish in the Champ Sprint divison. Paul York set out to an early lead, but McClelland had different plans. McClelland challenged York on lap four, and completed the pass on lap 15. McClelland went on to finish the race unchallenged. Brent Bates finished 2nd after starting fifth, making it an interesting race within the top five. Bates made the pass on Tanner Phillips on lap 19. Phillips made it to second place on lap 9, but was unable to challenge McClelland for the lead. Phillips lost his 2nd place to Bates, finishing third. Rob McQuarry was in the heat of the battle for the top five, only to lose one position from his third starting position to finish fourth. While York was shuffled back to fifth after losing positions to McClelland, Bates, Phillips and McQuarry.

Wesley Knebel scored his third Mini Stock feature event win after making a lap 7 pass on Kimberly Tyre. Knebel drove on to win the 20 lap feature event. Jimmy Masterson finished in 2nd place after starting in fourth. Masterson made the pass on Tyre on lap 7, after Tyre had lost her lead to Knebel. Tyre lost her 3rd place running position to Kenny Grumadas on lap 9, shuffling Tyre to a fourth place finish. Richard Shipley piloted his race car to a fifth place finish. Shipley started on the pole, but was shuffled back to fifth after losing positions to Knebel, Masterson, Grumadas, and Tyre.
