GENTRY REPEATS, DRAKE, NEWELL, ROBERTS, MARTINEZ, CARROLL SCORE FIRST WINS

Tulsa, OKLA (June 11, 2017) - Joshua Gentry wins for the 6th time in Junior Sprints, while Cole Roberts, Jeffery Newell, Kris Carroll, Larry Martinez, and Kale Drake win for the first time in 2017.

Cole Roberts takes home the win in the A-Class division on Friday night, shutting down Hank Davis during the closing laps of the 20 lap feature. Davis, who started fifth made his way up to second and was able to challenge Roberts for the win, but was unable to complete the pass before the checkered flag flew for Roberts. Davis made his way towards the front from his fifth place starting position, trailed by 6th place starter Jeffrey Newell. Newell was unable to complete a pass on Davis for second, settling for a third place finish. Pole sitter Ryan Mushrush was overtaken early by Roberts, and eventually falling to fourth after being overtaken by Davis and Newell. Kris Carroll only lost one position from his fourth place starting position to finish fifth.

Joshua Gentry made it 6 wins in the Junior Sprint division, besting the 8 car field. Gentry made quick work of getting to the front, and never looked back. Seventh place starter Jase Mosely and 8th place starter Ryan Timms both advanced five positions to finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Last week's feature winner, Journey Hunt started in 2nd, but lost two positions to Mosely and Timms, finishing the race in fourth. Kaley Mahaffey finished the race in fifth, after starting 4th.

Kale Drake took home the Restricted A-Feature win after starting 3rd. Baron Silva finished 2nd, after starting fourth, while Shawn Mahaffey finished 3rd after starting fifth. Mahaffey had to shut down fourth place finisher Caleb Pence after Pence challenged for third during the closing laps of the 20 lap race. Rees Day Moran came out even, finishing in his starting position of fifth.

Larry Martinez proved to be the best during Saturday night's Sportsman feature. Larry Martinez drove away from the field during the 20 lap feature event. Ryan Cody was the closest to Martinez, but was unable to catch Martinez to challenge for the lead. Cody finished in 2nd, from his 9th place starting position. Jeremy Wickham advanced 7 positions from his 10th place starting spot to finish 3rd, battling with Cody, but was unable to complete the pass. Troy Minton was headed for a better position than his 7th place starting spot, making it as high as 2nd. Minton found himself battling with Cody, Wickham, and a hard handling racecar and fell to fourth. Lonnie Frailey was the 5th place finisher, advancing from the final starting spot.

Kris Carroll gave the Outlaw division a run for their money, topping the 10 car field. Carroll started on the pole and drove on to win the 20 lap feature event. Close in trail was 2nd place finisher Hank Davis, who had a hard time getting by Carroll after several attempts to challenge for the position. Third place starter Cannon McIntosh was able to hold on to his position to finish 3rd. Tom Calico started on the front row in 2nd, but lost two positions to finish fourth. Shane Hacker held onto his fifth place start to finish fifth, after a hard battle with Davis during the opening laps of the race.

Jeffrey Newell scores his first win of 2017 in the Non-Wing division. After starting fourth, Newell made it a quick task to get out front to the lead. Followed by a hard charging Hank Davis, Newell found himself being challenged by Davis, but was able to hold him off. Davis finished 2nd, while Thad Bennett fell to third after starting 2nd. Greg Emeterio Jr. was up one position to fourth from his 5th place start, while Chris Crawford fell four positions from his 1st place starting position, finishing fifth.
