Terry Mattox – SAPULPA, Okla. (July 17, 2015) – Kyle Clark claimed his first Non-Wing Champ Sprint feature event win on Friday night at Creek County Speedway while Alex Sewell swept ASCS Red River action to claim his very first ASCS Winged Sprint feature.
Kyle Clark claimed the Non-Wing Sprint Car feature after re-drawing the pole of the 20-lap affair out dueling a strong, Tim Kent who started on the outside of the front row. Danny Smith finished in the third spot after starting off in the fourth spot. Alex DeCamp crossed the line in the fourth spot after re-drawing the sixth starting spot and Kevin Cummings rounded out the top five after starting in the eighth starting spot.
Grant Wresche and Danny Smith each staked their claim in Heat Race competition while Alex DeCamp took home $250 by topping the six car Dash-for-Cash.
Alex Sewell swept the ASCS Red River Region Winged Sprint Car portion of the night topping a 22-car field to claim his first career ASCS Sprint Car feature. Sewell started in the sixth starting spot of the 25-lap feature. Howard Moore came home in the second spot after advancing one spot in the main event. Brandon Hanks advanced one position to come home on the final spot of the podium. Sean McClelland re-drew the dreaded eight pill and came home in the fourth spot with Joe Wood, Jr. bringing up the top five after starting seventh.
Sewell, Hanks and Wood, Jr. each took home ASCS Red River Heat Race Victories during the nights action with Whit Gastineau taking the B-Main victory.
Racing continues tomorrow night as the Fast Five Weekly Series takes to the track for another night of points racing action at 7PM.
