Racing Returns Saturday, May 6 At Creek County Speedway

SAPULPA, Okla. (May 1, 2023) The wait is finally over, as weekly racing action fires off this Saturday, May 6, at Creek County Speedway.

“We wanted to make sure we got everything we said we were going to do accomplished before we opened the doors and trust me, the weather did not help, so we greatly appreciate everyone’s patience," explained Creek County Speedway promoter Steve Hahn. "The final piece was getting our new parking area approved. That’s something that was a top priority in making it better and safer for the fans, and now that we have that, we are ready to go."

While the major projects like the front stretch wall, concession, adding clay to the track, and bathroom improvements have wrapped up, there is more work to be done. According to Hahn, the point they are at now will allow those to be done during the week without interfering with the season.

“I know there will get comments on our Facebook page asking what about this and what about that. I’m telling everyone now we have a list of projects we are still working on and will let everyone know through our page what is going on, but right now, we are ready to race.”

After speaking with several teams, Creek County will make a change on the competition side and put all classes back to points average to set nightly lineups. The opening night will be a draw format to set up for the next event.

Saturday, May 6, opens the 2023 Fast Five Weekly Racing Series with Champ/305 Sprint Cars, Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Mini-Stocks, and Tuners.
