Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (September 4, 2022) Three leaders over 55 laps, the one that counted, saw Hank Davis steer his way into Victory Lane at Creek County Speedway and collect the $6,000 prize in the 8th annual OILFIRE Rye Whiskey and Liqueur Ironman 55 presented by Bob Hurley RV and Tulsa Power Sports and Outdoors.

Hank's first time topping the annual Champ/305 Non-Wing extravaganza, Davis climbed through the field from eighth as Fred Mattox led the opening 28 laps before being overtaken by Johnny Kent. Keeping pace for six revolutions, the No. 55 came to a stop on Lap 35.

Advancing Davis to the point, the No. 1h kept pace from there as Kyle Clark battled his way to second on Lap 52. A monstrous run out of the B-Feature, Andrew Deal was in contention as the leaders hit traffic late but would end up third after starting 23rd. Fred Mattox ended up fourth, with Jett Hays rolling 18th to fifth.

Grady Mercer crossed sixth with Ty Hulsey seventh. Joe Wood, Jr. followed, with Johnny Kent coming back to finish ninth. The top ten rounded out with Bradley Fezard.

With NOW600 Sooner State Dwarf Cars on hand as well, the Sunday win went to fifth starting, Larry Pense. Second was Rob McQuary, followed by Jason Miles in third. Going 19th to fourth was Paul York, with Justin Foltz making up the top five.

Racing returns to Creek County Speedway on Saturday, September 10 with Fast Five Weekly racing, featuring DSO Champ/305 Sprints, York Plumbing Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Junior Mini Stocks.

Draw for teams opens at 4:30 P.M. and closes at 6:30 P.M. (CT). No exceptions will be made. If you are running late, call ahead. Information on the track's Heat Race format is online at http://www.creekcountyspeedway.co/news/?i=109277
